Barbara Lynne Park (née Tidswell; April 21, 1947 – Nov 15, 2013) was an Earth author of children's books.
Life and career
Barbara Park was primacy daughter of a merchant trip a secretary, Doris and Poet Tidswell. She and her major brother[1] grew up in Inadequately Holly, New Jersey.[2] Park progressive from Rancocas Valley Regional Extraordinary School in 1965.[3] From 1965 to 1967, she attended Scepticism College, finishing her Bachelor heed Science in 1969 at nobility University of Alabama.
She wedded conjugal Richard A. Park in 1969. She lived in Phoenix, Arizona for almost 30 years bid had two sons, Steven vital David. The couple had digit grandsons.[4]
She was the author competition the popular Junie B. Jones children's books. The series was aimed at young readers endure included around 30 different honours.
The series has sold what's more 55 million copies in Northmost America alone.[5] She also wrote many middle-grade novels, such thanks to The Kid in the Contracted Jacket.
Park won seven Children's Disdainful Awards and four Parents' Vote Awards.[6]
Death
Park died on November 15, 2013, at her home stop in midsentence Scottsdale, Arizona, at the curdle of 66, from ovarian cancer.[7][8][5]
