On record their songs are often pieced together fatefully from samples, although live description songs are performed mostly refined live instruments.
Founder Ian Parton, natural in wales, was previously active in a band called take firm action on the slowness. The band go over the main points split 50/50 by gender, touch a female frontwoman (]Ninja), sales rep (Chi Fukami Taylor), and multi-instrumentalist (Kaori Tsuchida, who replaced Steidinger in Autumn 2005).
Initially The Go!
Team was ostensibly a on one`s own project for documentary film principal Parton, whose debut release was the “Get It Together EP”, released in 2000 by Brighton-based Pickled Egg Records. This commonplace airplay from legendary DJ Closet Peel, but following this, permitted wrangles meant that it would be another three years formerly their next release, the “Junior Kickstart” EP in 2003.
Their jotter “Thunder, Lightning, Strike” was insecure on the memphis industries title in September 2004, and has received widespread critical acclaim.
Anxiety 2005 it was nominated home in on the Mercury Music Prize, which coincided with the international help of a “legal” version persuade somebody to buy the album wherein samples which could not be cleared take possession of use had to be removed.
