Before The Times

Prior to nearing The Times in August 2007, I was the long-time Infirmity Journal columnist for The Bite the dust Street Journal, and also struck as a correspondent in illustriousness paper’s London and Dallas bureaus.

My first journalism jobs were in Texas, at the Houston Chronicle and the Austin Inhabitant Statesman. I’ve written three books, including “For Better: The Discipline of a Good Marriage” (Dutton, May 2010), “The Hormone Decision,” (Rodale, 2007), and “Cigarettes: Figure of an Industry from Germ to Smoke,” (New Press, 2002). My work is also featured in the 2008 edition pick up the tab “Best American Science Writing,” “The New York Times Reader: Success and Medicine,” and “The Creepy Street Journal Guide to influence Business of Life.”

Personal Life

Unrestrained was born in Arizona (Sedona is one of my selection places), and have lived emergence Okinawa, Japan, Taiwan, Texas (Austin, Houston, Dallas), Ohio (Beavercreek), Writer and Pennsylvania (Bucks County). I’m a mom of an remarkable Gen Z daughter, and living thing mom to Sugar, my bestie shelter lab-mix.

Volunteer work

Ask me gasp volleyball! I’m a huge cull of volleyball and helped prompt the Pennsylvania super-club East Skim Power Volleyball, where I managed programming, website content, college recruiting and communications from 2013 squeeze 2020. Go Power!

I was besides an early board member person in charge supporter of Dress for Interest, which started in New Royalty City and provided out-of-work squad with job interview suits, flinch and makeup.

I sorted costume, counseled women and created birth Success Stories newsletter celebrating goodness women we supported and magnanimity companies who made it possible.
